" Be mindful even if your mind is full"
And just in a blink of an eye, we have come to the end of February. Today's post will be a reflection of this month because this month was so much tougher. If January was about LOVE and JOY, February is all about the mind, being conscious and mindful.
In February, we had three full weeks of 7 days and all of those weeks, I faced different struggles and it affected and impacted me so much. During the first week, it was a hardship involving my future and my relationship with someone. The second week was a hardship involving school. The third week was a hardship relating to health. As you can see below, I actually wrote down FIVE main things I have learned from each of the hardship and one common learning was being mindful which I shall elaborate further.

FIRST WEEK: This is a continuation of a post I posted a week ago. I realise that all of us have a mind of our own. We have our own opinions and we are all are yearning to get heard or speak out of what we are thinking. However, our opinions might be unnecessary or something that is better to be unsaid. It is not wrong to speak up but make sure we think before we say something. Is it something mean? Is it something beneficial? Is it going to hurt others? Is it insensitive to say it? I believe if only that person had been more mindful before she said anything, it would have made situations better. Even though it was indirectly hurting me, it was sure hurtful to the person who heard it that was very close to me. Such a simple opinion/questions/suggestion that wasn't thought thoroughly could actually hurt more than one person.
SECOND WEEK: School was very tough for most of us and I am blessed to have supportive friends which were always looking out for each other. I learned that we always have to be mindful of our surrounding. Yes, you are going through tough times, but so might others too. Always, always, always look out for people around you. Especially when you are facing difficulties, don't think you are the only one. Look around you and be more observant, realise that everyone has their own difficulties. Be more aware and reach out to those who are going through tough times too, it will make you feel better.
THIRD WEEK:
This week, I was studying so hard I forget about my health. I was too tired that I fell sick. I was too busy that I forgot to eat. The most important lesson is, be mindful of yourself and your body. Yes, you have to work hard but remember, without good health, your body would not be able to even help you to work hard. Do not forget to rest even you are busy. Pamper yourself after every hard work because remember, you deserve it and no one will pamper you other than yourself. Usually what I will do is to have a break by just eating ice cream or put on a face mask and just relax.
If only all of us were mindful of certain things, life would be better for ourselves and the people around us. Everyone is going through tough times and the only way to help each other is to be more mindful, at least.
With that, I pray that all of us would be mindful of everything around us, from people to things to our own self. There is an impactful quote I found, "Refuge to the man is the mind, refuge to the mind is mindfulness." ♥
