"Don't judge my choice if you don't understand my reason"
I initially wanted to list down my goals in 2020 but after reflecting I realise that 2019 was pretty bearable because I did not had any high expectations. Yes, I did have goals but it did not go the way I wanted it to be but it got better. ALHAMDULILLAH! So, I shall keep my 2020 goals to myself and let my hard work and effort show. I am super super excited for 2020. There are so many things to do and achieve! However, I actually had my first setback in 2020 today... You know, not everything will happen the way you want it to be. If Allah s.w.t. wills, it will happen. If not, it will be for the best. I may not know what the reason might be but like I always say in past blogpost that - He knows us better than we know ourselves.
I think I managed to embrace the setback quite calmly. Even though I was having a "mini" breakdown, I decided to take a nap and just rest before thinking through solutions to the problem. Nap is so important for mental health huh hahahaha. I got up because I couldn't nap for very long and I managed to just get through it. **By the way, Marble's antics are making me so so amused and happy at this timing. It's 1.40 a.m. and he is running all over the house & treating it like his own race track!!** I kept thinking of what I promised myself during my Umrah trip. It's really easy to just forget about it but I made it a habit to always remind myself and going back to it every night before I sleep. Life is not always about the ups but also the downs. It's how we see things in a different perspective when we are going through hard times. And when we are there in a dark place or even going into it, always try to pull yourself out of it. The people around you can only do so little while you can actually do so much for yourself by first helping yourself out. At the end of the day, we can't depend on people that much - be it about business, personal or just about life itself. We only have ourselves to rule our own life. We are blessed to be able to control our own life with intellect and guidance from religion, so why are we wasting it all just like that? How you write your own story all depends on you. Only you can control what you think. Even if someone tries to manipulate you, you only have your own mind to think if it is right for you or not. If it is not, take the effort to always reject advice nicely from others. Sometimes, we have to be confident and believe that we know ourselves better than anyone else especially those who only know you from social medias.
"Who are you to judge?" We are ALL not in a right position to judge anyone not even if we think we know them well. (And this is a big reminder for me too!) I hope that the community would be less judgemental people. 2020 will be the year that we are all ourselves - we do the things we love and we strive for things we want.
May Allah s.w.t. make all of us people who judge less and to observe more. May He guide us to be people who have high in knowledge and iman. Aamiin.♡
