Fertilizers for Motivation

Never let people define who you are. Or tell you what you should be doing or your goals in life. You are you. You create your own dreams and chase them because dreams can be a reality.

Comparing is a disease of the mind. Don't compare yourself to anyone. Just carry on at your own pace

You don't need attention and compliments to feel good about yourself. Being confident can make you happier. Happiness starts with you.

Only focus on your goals. Don't be distracted by others. The only way to succeed is to focus on yourself and what is best for you.

Be kind. Be nice. Think good of others.

It makes a difference,

a good one.

" Sometimes, you just need a break in a beautiful place. Alone."

(I am editing this the morning I leave for Umrah. I actually wrote this looooongggg post over the week.)

I am actually showering with tears as I am blogging. Firstly, this would actually be the 3rd last post in 2019. Secondly, in less than a week I will be making my way to one of my favourite place on earth, Madinah & Makkah. In shaa Allah. It isn't my first time but...(how do I put it into words?) the feeling of being invited again and again is just pure contentment and blissful. Ma shaa Allah. I will post how the different Umrahs have impacted me in my life when I come back, In shaa Allah. I feel that it is a mixed feelings of happiness and sadness. It is like I am actually "leaving" the people I love in Singapore to visit the one who I love the most there - the beloved Rasulullah s.a.w. and to go on dates with Allah s.w.t.. I certainly can't wait! But one thing I am dreading the most about this trip is... leaving and going home. I remembered the last time I was there, and my legs were too weak. After we did our last tawaf, I told myself this isn't goodbye but this is a way to say 'See you next time'. Nothing will make me happier than knowing that I'll be there again and I have a chance to feel what I felt over there again and again... alhamdulillah. To be honest, I have so much to post in this blog because I want to go off with a peaceful mind. I would want to let go of the HUGE BAGGAGES, if possible. I want to come back home with a fresh new mind, new ideas, a better me. And blog about things which are more intellectual and avoiding such huge emotional topics (hopefully). This would probably be THE LONGEST POST EVERRRRR in 2 years!! But I promise you it will be so meaningful. CURATED SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT I always wondered if anyone actually scrolled my IG profile and thought to themselves, "Wow, this gurl is damn lucky lah!" Here's the catch. EVERYTHING you see on people's social media profile is curated. This is what I WANT YOU to see. But personally, it is not to spark any evil eyes or envy feelings towards me but it is to share love, motivation and happiness. Almost all of my downfalls are written HERE in my blog! Downfalls need a lot of attention to it. We have to reflect and think deep WHY it happened and WHAT we can do to avoid such situations again. Thus, I see no point posting such things which sparks unnecessary comments or thoughts from others. But hey, if you still think I am lucky, let me remind you of all THE "BAD" things I've been through that took a toll on me (btw, you can read my past post to find out more) - broken family/family feuds, friends taking you for granted/betrayal, went through a period of defamation from people close to me, which all led me to depression & anxiety. If you still think I am lucky, alhamdulillah, then you are too! Because not everyone's life is perfect. There are certain parts of your life which is imperfect might be perfect to me but those parts of your life which is perfect might be a disaster to me... Let me list them - some of you are already married happily with kids, stable job and income, travelling, great support system from family and friends, no one looks down or talks bad about you... and the list goes on... Life is not about being lucky or not, remember your goal in life. Please Allah s.w.t and He will shower you with what you deserve. All the good things I get might be because of the good things I have done and by the power of doa. This brings me to the next topic... And if you still think envy is a problem for you, start doing the #GRATATHON and in shaa Allah, you get yourself closer to Him and feel more blessed and humbled with everything you have in life. THE POWER OF DUA NEVER, i repeat, NEVER EVER EVER underestimate the power of your doa or other people's doa. It doesn't matter if you don't feel like you are good enough or even if you feel you are not pious. A doa has never been only for the pious yet it is a supplication for all human beings on earth. As long as we are servants, we deserve to ask from Him. Even if you are on the streets or walking back home and you suddenly feel unsafe - doa. If you are in an examination hall and you feel like giving up - doa. If you are in a tough situation at work and you really don't know what to do next - doa.

If you are in a relationship or marriage that is going downhill and you are desperate for help - doa You never know when your doa is sooo supeerrrr sincere that Allah s.w.t decided to grant it as soon as you ask from Him. And if you are not good at arabic, just ask it in the language you prefer! Here are 2 of my daily routine general doas I would make right after my solat: 1. "Ya Allah, forgive me as you are the Greatest and the Most Forgiving" I always believe in adab when asking from Him. Always ask for forgiveness first and foremost before reciting a doa. Our lives are full of sins. We are normal human beings and we will always have that moment that we succumb to sinning. 2. "Ya Allah, jadikan aku wanita yang beriman berdarjat tinggi" A directly translation would be something like "make me a women who has high faith". This is always my doa almost every solat since about 10 years ago. Iman is a very precious thing to myself. As I go through challenges after challenges - it is superrr easy to (nauzubillah) lose faith in Allah s.w.t. Thus, this doa is really important to me. I shall end the post here guys. If you made it till the end, I pray you learn something from my post. I pray that whoever is reading will be blessed always and given the opportunity to reach the holy land. Aamiin aamiin ya rabbal al-amiin. Forgive me if there are any bad in my blogpost previously which potentially would hurt any of you in any ways.. See you next 2 weeks! In shaa Allah.
