Fertilizers for Motivation

Never let people define who you are. Or tell you what you should be doing or your goals in life. You are you. You create your own dreams and chase them because dreams can be a reality.

Comparing is a disease of the mind. Don't compare yourself to anyone. Just carry on at your own pace

You don't need attention and compliments to feel good about yourself. Being confident can make you happier. Happiness starts with you.

Only focus on your goals. Don't be distracted by others. The only way to succeed is to focus on yourself and what is best for you.

Be kind. Be nice. Think good of others.

It makes a difference,

a good one.

Rejections

"Rejection is a re-direction to something better"

Before anything, let's take a moment to pray for Sulawesi, Indonesia. They have been through so much in a day - earthquakes, tsunami and volcanic eruptions. If we can't help in any form of way, we can at least pray and remind ourselves not to take granted of anything. Also, Singapore is such a safe country, alhamdulillah, but this blessing could also be a test for us. Wallahu alam. Today I would like to blog about something that would very much be something to remind myself and to kind-of persuade myself (in malay they say, pujuk diri) and my heart that things will be alright. Rejections...

For the past few days, I've been waiting for answers here and there and I've been reminding myself repeatedly, "If it's meant for you, it will be. Allah s.w.t will give the best to you."

Why should I put myself in a stressful situation hoping when the answers will come? Allah s.w.t knows my heart and how much I needed it, better than I know myself. He will give me something if He thinks it is necessary. On top of that, I think it's a very toxic environment if people were to stress someone and say "why haven't you put in effort??" We are not obligated to tell everything to everyone in this world. Not on social media or even on blogs like this. For example, finding a job, I don't have to broadcast that "Look, I've sent out 50 resumes to 50 different companies." I mean, who are we really trying to explain ourselves to? Who are we trying to please? And is all these really necessary??

The answer is no and if only, someone actually taught me that rejections are fine. Though it doesn't please everyone, "Eh, never get? You never work hard enough lah" and all those negative comments. It is normal to get rejected. Be it if you knew why, or you didn't know why, just accept it and move on.

Maybe it's a nature of a human being to be disappointed but believe that every rejection happens for a reason. It's easier said than done. But something better will surely come and see this rejection as a test which is a blessing. Allah s.w.t will test us always and if we go through it for him with patience, He will surely reward us with something much much better.

Stay calm dear self, you are still young and there are more things waiting for you. I am not sure what is coming ahead for myself but one day I would want to actually read back my blog post and tell myself that things will eventually turn out alright and there is no need for overthinking or stressing out.

Loneliness will be rewarded with liveliness, sadness will be rewarded with happiness, struggles will be rewarded with ease, moneyless will be rewarded with a blessed fortune.

I pray that everyone would go through life with strength and be patient with life itself especially when we are already in adulthood, things will get tougher and the transition phase can get a little stressful but always keep working hard and praying and know that we have the All-Knowing who is always there for us, guiding us. ♥
